The July painting for my calendar is finished and I have done something I don’t usually do: I have added an element into a painting a long way down the line to almost finished. This usually never happens.
Here it is:

The difference is another glass of wine. Yay! š
To be fair a wine glass is a fairly transparent object and so one of the few alterations I could have made. Extra fairies would be right out of the question. I just was not happy with the composition before as the focus seemed to be very far over to the right, with the pouring of the wine. Of course this is the problem that I already mentioned with having two goals: fine art and a calendar, but now perhaps there are two foci. Or it is just out of focus on account of more wine…
Ahem. Moving rapidly on… (I mean it, there is no way I will get these finished before the end of August but I still intend to try)
The added wine glass is perfect …balances the whole composition nicely!
Thanks Niall. Can’t think why I didn’t put it in in the first place… I think possibly i was trying to give more space for the date bit. B***er the dates – it needs the extra glass!
Nice!
Thanks Jason š

Thanks Mgon! š

two glasses of wine is always a good start š
