You never know who’s reading your blog… When I first canvassed opinions on gold or silver for the ‘Swimflakes’ wrapping paper, and whether tags should match, it was because I couldn’t afford to do everything that I wanted to. A lot of people felt strongly about matching tags, more than I expected, and I was a little sad to have to decide to drop the gold and go for all silver… and then along came a comment on that post by Lynden Stowe of Vale Press ltd, offering to quote for the whole job. A most polite and fortuitous poaching tendering for the job. So now, I can bring you both gold and silver, and matching tags! And he did not tell me (as someone else did) “don’t to use too much gold because it’s expensive and difficult”, and did tell me I had better things to do with my time than guillotine up the sheets of cards and tags myself at home (I tried two sheets, just to make up samples. Yep, he was damn right…). All in all, so pleased now I can have everything!
Plus, he said did I want to come and see their place and the sheets being printed, which I really did. So, here are some pictures of work half way through. It will all be arriving next week which is very exciting. Here are a few photos I thought you might like to see.
I already have a short list of people who want to know when it’s available to buy – I will put up listings in my Etsy shop soon, but in the meantime if you want to be added to the list either drop me a line at mail@nancyfarmer.net, or add yourself to the email list – link at the top of this site.
