Twelve Views of the Tor (etchings for the 2015 calendar)

12 intaglio prints (etching & drypoint) with hand-coloured details. 11 x 6.5 inches, 2013 & 2014

This series of prints were inspired by Glastonbury Tor, a striking and much-loved feature of the local landscape about which so many stories already abound. Glastonbury is the Ancient Isle of Avalon of Arthurian Legend, and the centre of so many fanciful and mystical tales already. I have drawn on some of these, but generally I have invented the subjects of these prints myself.

Some are drypoint, some etching and some a mixture of both. Each original print was an edition of 13, some prints are still available for sale. They were reproduced in my calendar for 2015.
