‘Swimflakes’ printing in progress…

You never know who’s reading your blog…  When I first canvassed opinions on gold or silver for the ‘Swimflakes’  wrapping paper, and whether tags should match, it was because I couldn’t afford to do everything that I wanted to.  A lot of people felt strongly about matching tags, more than I expected, and I was a little sad to have to decide to drop the gold and go for all silver… and then along came a comment on that post by Lynden Stowe of Vale Press ltd, offering to quote for the whole job. Silver or Gold…?

I am nearly at a the point of asking a printing company to print the wrapping paper I’ve been working on for  while, but before I do it, I thought a bit of customer research might be in order. The choice is between silver and gold, and also between white swimflakes against a metallic background or the other way around. Welcome to this year’s edition of “Quick & Simple Christmas Product Ideas Which Actually Take At Least 10 Times Longer Than I Anticipated” I am not complaining, I am having fun, and I am also finding Adobe Illustrator indispensable for this project (and getting to grips with limited parts of it), and that makes me happy, because some weeks ago I paid for the annual licence for the whole of the Adobe creative suite, which, while it doesn’t actually require you to sign away your soul and your firstborn child baby cats, it does at least come closer to that…
